VIVID Sydney….through my eyes

Vivid Light transforms our beautiful city into a wonderland of ‘light art’ sculptures and super cool light installations for everyone to enjoy – for free. It is the world’s largest outdoor ‘art-gallery.’

Last week I took off to visit VIVID SYDNEY 2015 with my photography buddy Kris…

We had a great night out and particularly enjoyed the ‘back street’ installations this year..

If you are into photography, or just want to enjoy the colourful lights head to VIVID SYDNEY…This event runs until the 8th June…

Photo of the day…..Trees – in all their glory…

Its Autumn in Sydney, Australia at the moment  – my favourite time of the year  – and its beautiful. 🙂

As I drive around our city, all I’ve been doing is ‘oohing’ and ‘aahing’ over the colours of the trees during the change of seasons.

So it got me thinking about trees and how much I love them…their grandness, the way they ‘change’ through the seasons, the way they nourish the earth….

The photo on the left was taken in Sydney’s Botanical Gardens.

This tree is truly fantastic…you can get an idea of how big it is by looking at the two people laying under it. I wonder how long its been there, overlooking Farm Cove?

The pic on the right was taken in Tokyo, Japan during the autumn. The colours of the leaves on this tree were so intense –  so full of rich, vibrant colour.

Whats your favourite season?

A Day with the animals….Taronga Zoo, Sydney, Australia

I live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world – Sydney, Australia. Recently I spent the day at Taronga Zoo which is situated on the foreshore of our glorious harbour.

I am always keen to get out and about with my camera and I LOVE checking out all the animals….

My favourite animals on the day were the giraffes, baby elephants and the snow leopard..

A lot of these shots were relatively easy to execute….Others quite difficult – shooting through wire fences, glass and over the top of people!

Enjoy the photos and I’d love to know what your favourite animal is to photograph?

Photo of the Day…Sydney Harbour by night

Sydney Harbour by night…What a beautiful city we live in…This is one of my favourite pics ever and takes pride of place as a huge canvas print in my home. Do you have any of your favourite pics hanging up at your place?
