When I’m out and about with my camera, I ‘see’ photos everywhere. 🙂
These two pics were taken in the United States during the festive season.
The photo on the left was shot in SoHo, a neighborhood in Lower Manhattan, New York City, famous for its art galleries and trendy boutiques. The doorway, simple wreath and the ivy immediately caught my eye.
The photo on the right was taken in San Francisco. The symmetry within this shot immediately attracted me. Everything is balanced. I love the bright coloured poinsettias, the elaborate wreath and the cracks above the doorway.
Which shot is your favourite? Do you like to photograph doorways and entrances?

Photography teaches you to see, I mean really see.
You see things others might not, you look for the not so obvious. 🙂
These photographs were taken in a lane way in The Rocks, Sydney, Australia.
I love the feel of these photos – the open doorway, the darkness within the stairwell and the criss cross of the vines covering the building.
The close up of the leaves shows their vivid colour and texture.
I have added contrast and a vignette to bring out the colours and ‘frame’ the image.
What do you see in these photographs?
