Kelly and Simon – Feature wedding of the month

Each month at Bernasconi Photography, I am going to feature one of my favourite weddings.

This month the choice was easy.

Simon and Kelly were introduced by mutual friends at a pub in Dubbo after Kelly had moved into the area for work. They decided to marry late last year and set the date for 26th September 2009.Kelly wore a gorgeous pearl coloured wedding dress by Maggie Sottero from Dressence at Miranda in Sydney.  Doreen Gatt from The Art of Hair did a fantastic job with Kelly’s hair – considering the wind we had on the day – it looked great from start to finish. The Ceremony was held at Braeburn Gardens in Double Bay with the harbour as the backdrop and the Reception afterwards at Kelly’s Aunt and Uncle’s home in Double Bay.

During the ceremony we had very windy conditions . Both the Bride and Groom seemed oblivious to it, but it certainly kept me on my toes! Kelly and Simon were very easy to photograph. They are a very down to earth couple who were quite at home in front of the camera.

We had an absolute ball taking lots of photos in the gardens and then down on the waterfront…

The reception was fantastic! Gastronomy (best caterers I’ve ever worked with) provided the most delicious food..Kelly’s Uncle, Glenn Shorrock sang a couple of well known tunes for Kelly and Simon. The cake and flowers were from Brides in Bloom at Stanmore.

This really was a fantastic wedding. Thanks to  everyone for making me feel so welcome, especially the groomsmen, who had me in stitches during the location photo shoot.

Congratulations Kelly and Simon, it was a pleasure working with you.
